Bookworm
surfing through the net today, i came across a link to a good book. being the bookworm that i am, i opened the site, in which i found more and more and more good books i haven't read. needless to say, it made me feel incredibly poor and sorry for myself. there are so many books in the world that i haven't read, and so little time left to read them, as i am growing older and losing my leisure time to studies and work. this is strange, in this age of technology, when ebooks are all over the net. but i do not want ebooks, although i do settle for them sometimes (would anyone be so kind as to send me an ebook of the second book of gossip girl? thanks.) ebooks make me feel sorrier for myself for some reason. i love the feeling of holding a book in my hands. i don't really mind if my books get dog-eared, it just means they are well loved. i don't want them getting torn though. i love the feeling of carrying around a book, ready to be read at any free moment. also, i love the fact... Back Again-Year In Review
Hi again people.Just here enjoying the Christmas holiday season and waiting for the New Year around the corner.I was just reading this week's editon of BusinessWeek magazine on investing and the 2009 year end review and I have to say that economically we had a hell of a year.News with layoffs, bankruptcies and foreclosures,it was a hell of a year in a bad way.Especially bad for ordinary workers who have really been hit in this recession.I think that some white collar workers have been hit as well but not as bad as blue collar workers who have had to do other things like work somewhere else, collect unemployment or move out of their states and provinces in North America. Also 2009 was the year where a lot of banks closed or folded due to the recession and folded businesses and the government having to go into debt just to save these banks who aren't able to save themselves. It was a bad year indeed. It was worse for the major automakers like GM,Chrysler and Ford who sold off some... Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX285 5.1-Channel Theater System (Black) This sysyem looks good, the changer is nice and the setup was extrememly easy. The sound quality is good and the passive sub offered a little more bass than I expected. If you are a movie lover that wants good sound and ease of operation, this is a great system. Plenty of volume and the microphone that sets up the individual speaker volume to assure you get the right sound where you want it is great. to the previous posters about not getting sound from the Tv.. just hook it up right. My only real complaint is that there is no way to customize manually individual speaker volume. so some of those DVD's or shows that just aren't quite tuned right can;t be fine tuned into what I could do with my old component system. The Ipod connectivity is great if you have an Ipod, unfortunately, it only works with the Ipod or Iphone and I have to plug my Zen MP3 player in through the audio port in the front. It could use more... (more)

Before we get to tax cheat Tom Daschle
Before we get to tax cheat Tom Daschle, lets recall the names of the Bend Over Republicans who pooh-poohed Treasury Secretary Tim Geithners tax troubles and accused critics of thinking in small political terms. On the Senate Finance Committee, B.O.mini ugg boots Republicans Mike Crapo, Orrin Hatch, John Cornyn, Olympia Snowe and John Ensign all determined that Geithners tax goofs worth $43,000 did not disqualify him from the job of overseeing everyone elses taxes. On Jan. 26, when the full Senate voted, 10 B.O. Republicans cast their votes in the affirmative for the serial tax evader and bailout failout architect. Those 10 B.O. Republicans were:Corker (R-TN)Cornyn (R-TX)Crapo (R-ID)Ensign (R-NV)Graham (R-SC)Gregg (R-NH)Hatch (R-UT)Shelby (R-AL)Snowe (R-ME)Voinovich (R-OH)What, pray tell, will these apologists for tax evasion do with Tom Daschle? Like Geithner, Daschle pleads ignorance and only paid back taxes and interest during the vetting process for his Health and Human Services... (more)

I know
I know IĄŻm late to the party but a few days ago I received a small package containing a T-Mobile G1 phone running Android with Compaq Presario 1200 Battery. The first thing I did was go to unlock-now to get myself a SIM unlock code. After submitting my details and paying up the 17.50 EUR it was just a case of waiting for the email, about 3 hours in my case. The email details everything you need to know when unlocking, particularly useful Compaq Presario 1800 Battery is the info on setting up a new APN which youĄŻll need to do if you arenĄŻt using T-Mobile as your carrier. My O2 PAYG SIM from my iPhone worked fine and soon the G1 was syncing happily with gmail. One of the things that struck me about the G1 was all the negative comment on itĄŻs size and feel that IĄŻd read in various blogs and reviews of Compaq Presario 700 Battery. Personally I couldnĄŻt see and issue with either the thickness of the device or the the look and feel of it and I wasnĄŻt alone in that. I really donĄŻt... (more)
